That’s assuming the actor is the one doing most of the stunts. They may use plenty of stunt doubles or a lot of CGI.

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. I just think the idea of Luffy wearing shoes seems a bit weird.

Yea the scratch with sandals is that if they come off at all while filming something then you have to redo the scene which can eat into a lot of time and budget. Plus they break easy which also adds to the risk of using them in a scene, even more so for stunts which can make things potentially dangerous. CGI just for sandals is a big waste of time and money as well.

Though they probably could've gone for those shoe sandals instead as I feel they'd fit better than the shoes he has now.
