its such a cheap and disgusting thing to do
toxic shit is a subjective thing, you know...you might get offend by stuff that would not offend other people.
Calling someone for being toxic is different from throwing words like transphobic or trans hater causally whenever someone expresses different opinion
Who hurt you and C4N? And why are you assuming random things about my persona? Not everyone immediately has the intention to spread against trans people, otherwise I'd hate trans characters like Izo or Kiku. Keep trying lol
Ok.. it looks like we need a little bit of pedagogy here. Fine.
So, we will look at different sentences and we will try to see if
1. they are transphobic or not
and
2. Why they can be hurtfull and thus must be called out:
"
I hate Trans people" > This is obviously transphobic. Why ? Because 1. it normalize the hate of trans people in a kinda violent way. 2.This opinion puts trans people in danger of harrassment and worst.
"
I don't care about trans people subjects" > This is not transphobic. This is a simple opinion on the subject. It's fine.
"
Trans people are mentally ill" > This is transphobic. Why ? Because 1. it normalize the process of denying the existence and identity of transpeople. 2. This normalization then can lead to violence toward transpeople and in some cases, rapes so his opinion puts trans people in danger of harrassment and worst. 3. This opinion is based on a fallacious statement and a poor understanding of what mental illness are and the condition of trans people.
"
I feel like trans struggle subjects are too present in the media" > This is not transphobic.. It's an opinion. Based on a bias but an opinion nonetheless.
"
Trans women shouldn't have access to women bathroom cause it can lure predator" > This is transphobic.. Why ? Because 1. It normalize the process of denying the existence and identity of transpeople and their right to have a bathroom. 2. This is based on a altright transphobic moral panic which purpose is the discrimination of transpeople 3. It's based on fallacies and biased as it is not observed in reality 4. It invisiibilize the struggle of transwomen that is the fact that leaving them in men bathroom puts them more in danger than it puts a danger on women to let them have access to those spaces. > Again, Transwomen are the most assault and oppressed LGBTQ+ community. 5. This opinion puts trans people in danger of harrassment and worst.
"
TransWomen are biological men" > This is transphobic. Why ? Because 1. It normalize the process of denying the existence and identity of transpeople. 2. It's based on the volontary transphobe ignorance of the scientific reality of the researches on the subject that say that Sex =/= gender. 3. It is a false understanding of the notion of sex. 3. It normalize the altright transphobe discourse that deny the right of transwomen to exist and have right 4. This opinion puts trans people in danger of harrassment and worst.
Etc. etc.
And all those statement can actually hurt a trans person passing by. Let's imagine that this person suffers a great depression.. and you could have a dark case on your hands..
You can perfectly have opinions about trans that are not transphobe, it's possible. But others are harmfull.
So,
If you say something transphobic, this ethical thing to reply is "you are saying something transphobic, please stop".
If you keep repeating that transphobic statement, the ethical thing to say is "stop please, you are being a transphobe here"
And if you deny that reply and keep saying transphobic thing:
The ethical conclusion to adopt is that you are a transphobe. (not saying you are, it's just for the example)
