my definition was that "god" is a man made concept for something we may not even be able to perceive. I believe in a higher power. and I also believe that I am unable to understand it.
if god is as grand as you believe, what makes you think you can grasp even a tiny bit of him? that is a contradiction.
"Democracies" are way easier to subvert.
It is hard to wrestle control from a supreme leader or to bribe someone who can have nearly anything already anyways.
For democracies all it takes is to be in the pockets of ~300 people tops.
There is not a single functioning democracy on this planet. Not one. Even if you are generous and call the failed system of representative republic a democracy.
The idea of an enlightened ruler has traveled through history to our present days. Problem is that none has ever been enlightened, the "philosopher-king" of Plato is a nice utopia but the chances of its achievement are extremely slim. This doesn't change that lots of presidents in our democracies are acting like they were the smartest people in their country.
True. But ALL human societies have problems. It's an eternal struggle to fight the bad aspects of being human, on a society as well as a personal level.
This struggle does not end before we die.
That said, our time may need direct and strong political decisions taken to save the planet.
After the Paris accords at COP21, during a year until Trump’s election, China was the country in the world with the most radical decisions taken to prevent global warming. The economy was starting to shift toward more renewable energy sources. It collapsed within a year, but the point is that dictatorships have their worth.
I really don’t know how we could get outta this mess

Meanwhile Germany's politicians are on big corporate's payroll and blatantly break their own fucking laws.
They make it incredibly hard for legislations that could actually bring about change.
Meanwhile they build more highways, burn thousands of Covid masks that are past the expiration date, open up protected areas for more intensive agriculture.
If Germany had a dictator, that person would NOT install climate and health measures but would do everything to erode the few that we have at all.
You taught my heart
A sense I never knew I had
I can't forget
The times that I was lost and depressed from the awful truth
How do you do it?
You're my heroine
You know what let secular society to have monarchy and see what happen from scratch.
Then Denmark is secular nation but has monarchy.
Vert\y few monarchy have full power today , the prime ministers and other people make laws.
Heck queen elizabeth stay away from politics opinion . She exist in public face .
‘Heck there more Indians who hated winston churchill than queen Elizabeth. Churchill is prime minister.
What do you think the criteria for the leader would be.
Merit or privilege?
If merit then its ought to be a good one for the country atleast legislation wise.. If privilege
Then are we saying the richest person take the charge?

Well honestly whatever goes as long as it has underlying moral foundations.
I don't reckon it'd be morally "objective" as it is secular so it'd be more pragmatic and that involves bias. HUH
In that sense secular monarchies cannot compete with theistic ones that have solid moral foundations whether flawed or not or just assumptively "OBJECTIVE MORALS" and are not bound to change over subjective decisions.
Take a look at some of the biggest existing monarchies in history too.
What does WG think about Charlie Hebdo’s last bad buzz about the earthquake ? Lots of Turkish people are mad as hell. I personally don’t even care, they did worse for other natural disasters in the US and elsewhere after all
