Why did Akainu fight all of the WB commanders and not Kizaru?

To hype poor Akainu? Without that scene, Akainu would look most underwhelming compared to his 2 Admiral friends.
Aokiji already soloed pre TS Monster Trio. Kizaru destroyed the Supernovas. Oda needs to balance it a bit, by making Akainu standing against the commanders, and took out.. only Curiel.

Okay, Akainu maybe the most important Admiral plot wise, not gonna deny that.
Just like Kinemon is the most important Scabbard plot wise. But Akainu isn't the strongest Admiral just like Kinemon isn't the strongest Scabbard.

Kizaru is a swordsman, Akainu isnt.

Kizaru has better feats, portrayal is useless considering Kizaru was never in the promotion race, better fruit, better combatant and if he gets to go out on Egghead together with Saturn, it will be better than being one of the many casualties in big war that Akainu will end up... Sharing spotlight with Saturn>sharing the spotlight with several of Imu's underlings...

He is. Akainu has a superior feat. Superior portrayal by being FA. Oda wanks Akainu more and his fruit so another headcanon. Akainu will face a superior oponnent than Kizaru in the final war once again proving his superiority

Difference being. On MF all Admirals were present and amongst those Akainu was chosen to get the feats, not Kizaru. Should be striking enough.
