By the time I almost caught up this was my list. To be honest I think I wouldn't really change much here, if anything at all.

I'd say something like this

2. Mana
3. Nea
4. Allen/Cross Marian
5. Lavi
6. Road
7. Kanda
8. Wisely
9. Millennium Earl/Jasdero/Lulu Bell
10. Lenalee

Anime added a lot of filler. The manga is better. The story is better told there. Also you can appreciate the evolution of the art as well.

This is one series that I kind of ignored the anime for. I've been avoiding it for years. I've seen like 2 episodes.

Right? If Catarina Eve Campbell wasn't the real mother of Nea and Mana, she might have had some bio kids, and that could be where Cross came from. I've also heard that he might be the Uncle Cyrus in those flashbacks. Cross has sooooo many secrets and I can't wait to see his full story. Well, actually I guess I can wait. I have no choice.

Cross is probably my second favorite, after my precious Krory.

Krory is sooooo great
I nearly like every character
Even characters like Malcolm are interesting
I only dislike Chaozii and Miranda
Miranda's innocence is nice but I always hated whiny characters

I hate Miranda's whinyness too, but I love her power. I wish she was more confident now, because her arc was one of my favs and I thought she would start to believe in herself once she joined the Order. (Especially bc Timothy and Chaozi were really quick to start leveling up and pulling their weight soon after they joined)

Allen is one of my favourite manga protagonists. Honestly the top 5 in my list could all rank number 1 ngl. And depending on the day they might lol.
