Mihawk's Vivre Card informs us that he's looking forward to someone who can surpass Shanks and we know that guy is Zoro, so what's the best way if not to do it directly?

As I was bored, I decided to make this bet topic.

Obviously Zoro is not going to kill Shanks, I just took advantage of the term because of the engagement.

The bet is that Zoro directly defeats Shanks in a fight, or Shanks recognizes that Zoro can give Mihawk a fight that he cannot, so a simple clash is not enough (I know it is the most expected).

The bet ends when Shanks leaves the scene, this can be at any time losing a fight (Kid, Teach etc) or after an encounter with the SH.

Votes will be publicly visible, no change allowed. The winning team decides the losing team's avatar for 3 months.

-First Oda will say that Mihawk>Shanks, then Zoro defeats Mihawk, and then it will be: Zoro>Mihawk>Shanks, that's how Zoro will prove to be superior to Shanks.

-If you're going to be a Zoro fan, you need to think like a Zoro fan.

I've been thinking for a while that if the Strawhats meet the Red Hair Pirates, Zoro and Shanks will interact and Mihawk's name will be brought up one way or another. I could see Zoro requesting to spar with him to see where he stands against Mihawk or Shanks bringing up the challenge with a wager, like if Zoro loses he'd have to join his crew. Yonko seem to have a small trend of asking #2's to join them (Shanks with Marco, BM with King). It'll be a massive opportunity wasted having the greatest rival of the man Zoro's chasing in the same arc as him and nothing comes of it.

I don't think Zoro beats him, just a sparring match with Zoro having impressive showings, the fight gets interrupted or postponed and Shanks acknowledges his strength then they all go drinking lol. A sky split would be asking for too much but hey who knows :kayneshrug:

Not happenning.

Zoro won't take down any Yonkou. Kaido was his only chance due to themes, that didn’t happen. Zoro's only top tier fights will be an Admiral and Mihawk/Mihawk's equivalent.

He will probably clash with Shanks though if SHPs vs. RHPs happen.

I don't think he will ever fight Shanks in an all-out 1v1. A clash before the Mihawk fight would be cool, especially if Shanks deems Zoro worthy enough to challenge Mihawk.
