You don't show a character pulling off a special feat to undercut it by saying they were weakened. The special feat happened because they were put into a situation like that. Zoro's asura/shi shi son son is stronger now than it was then because he's stronger now but when he did it vs Kaido/Mr 1 that was his peak at the time regardless of his damage.

People build whole character feats around Vivrecards ,because in the actual story their favorites don‘t have feats ,and get salty about other characters given "status" in the story

I agree advanced armament Zoro can't damage King in flame on mode.

For for your panel, I think King was in his flame on mode when he was finally cut by KoH mode. Because King has always been in flame on mode while using fire.
But I agree it is unclear, since we can't see it all too clearly with all that flames overload.

Regardless, I would say it has also been pretty clearly implied that KoH advanced conqueror's Zoro can hurt flame on King. That was the entire point of the panel with King blocking, followed by Zoro's taunt of "why are you blocking now?"

Zoro clearly said "he's fast therefore I can cut him now", while saying earlier "his flames are on, no point attacking him now"

Perhaps because he opened a wound on King has blocking it as his chest part was bleeding a lot, Zoto couldn't cut his leg which he blocked one of Zoro's strikes in that exchange, one can assume he was guarding his wounded area.

Otherwise if he could clearly cut a flame on King Oda would need to clearly show it, but every instance he was cut his flame behind his back was off. After King got wounded in his chest he was with flame mode while guarding with his other bodyparts like his legs and his sword.
