That was the subject of the strip (false racial narratives)
The strip was aimed at people who create false racial narratives.

Still Nop it was aimed at a specific type of people. People who denounce systemic racism in media culture.
Denouncing racism in media culture is not "false racial narrative". It's pointing out REAL systemic issue coming from media culture. You not being white doesn't negate this problem.

Scarlett Johanson was casted to play in Ghost in the Shell movie, everyone criticized the movie for "whitewashing"
It was. What you don't understand is that this specific peace of media is to be seen among a various number of example of white washing. You can always defend one movie, but this is not what we are denouncing, we are denouncing a systemic problem.

Whitewashing is bad? But blackwashing is good? Why are racebaiters so hypocritical?
Yes white washing is bad in the present geopolitical context and there is no such thing as blackwashing.

Do NOT accuse people of being racist, homophobic, sexual predator, sexist, xenophobic without proof. Real life does not work like the internet. These people have worked hard and climbed ladders to get the success they have achieved. When racebaiting leeches accuse them of being racist, those people's hard earned livelihood and family can be in jeopardy. Be more empathetic.
Proof that you don't understand the point. Just like many conservative.

No individual is being accused. The SYSTEM is.

Do not feed people who start racewars.
You are the one starting race wars herewhen you miss lead people about people who legitimately bring out systemic problem about racial representation. You are the one being missleading and using missinformation.

Raceswapping wouldn't be that a big a deal if the shows/movies/games/comics were actually good. Most of the time it's trash which makes people associate woke politics with shitty products. If the Miles Morales Spiderman was actually just a new Peter Parker, I guarantee you the story and characters would be trash and critically paned.
Raceswapping is still cringe tho, I rather get original characters or just black ones like black panther

I like Peter Parker more than Miles despite what Hollywood probably assumes of me

This is where I stop taking you seriously. You see, the thing I hate the most is hypocrisy and double standards. I am an advocate for equality and fairness, and a prejudiced person like you makes me physically uncomfortable.

Don't reply to me again.
Like hell I will.

You are not an advocate for equality and fairness, you are an advocate for your specific vision of life. A vision where whitewashing is ok and where black representation on fictional character is problematic.

Fictionnal character are rarely defined by there color of skin in occidental media culture.

Ok? Then change my example to Blade instead. We rather see original black characters than race swaps. Trust me most of the people pushing for race swaps are white lol

at the end of the day this will always annoy people because there’s a sense of familiarity with establish characters, they have an idea of what a character should look like. If it’s adapting from a comic or tv show that idea has been solidified thanks to the visual medium. This has been going since before the race swapping, look at all the bitching about Robert Pattinson’s Batman or Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man.

I remember when a director of DF comics was asked about the constant race swapping happening a few years ago and he said "because characters of color can't make it on their own." He got this idea because comics with original minority characters flopped. Probably had something to do with the racial stereotypes, stupid plots and poor characters due to prioritizing the political subplots but guess not.

There is no need to make black character white. But there is a NEED to do it the other way. Like I said, it's a matter of representation. That's why whitewashing is problematic and raceswapping for a black character is not (when its done good obviously).

For example there is no problem in having fantazy character like the little mermaid or the fairy in peter pan black.

There isn’t a need to make white characters black, if you want representation create more black characters. Like Van alluded to the reason why they don’t do it is because they deemed it too risky, which is why they use established characters. That goes back to my comment about people having an image of what a character looks like.

There is absolutely no arm in making a fantasy character black the opposite is not true. it's all a matter of representation.

No one reads comic books in the ghetto. Long gone are the days of MF Doom.

Even Black Panther has its problems - Most advanced nation on earth that elects its leader via combat???
