Thoughts about the chapter:
Shaka being shot:
I wonder what the cover story will reveal, now that Judge and Ceasar think of Vegapunk as their main problem. Maybe they have a hand in all the traitor stuff happening?
What makes me also wonder is how Shaka was able to deduce that the Stellar was down in the old DF Laboratory. What did he know that we donβt?
Also, however Shaka came to the conclusion that Vegapunk must be down there in an old facility wing, I hope one of the other Satellites is coming to this conclusion as well. Seeing as Shaka is the logical thinker of them, I hope this will not take them all that long to figure out without him.
Fact is, the person who followed Shaka must have noticed him heading down to the Stellar somehow. I wonder how he/she could have known that he was heading there. Considering that Atlas in chapter 1062 mentionned one interesting detail about the aircon: βIts sensors can monitor living creatures.β I can well image that the person could have monitored the aircon and observed everything from there (But this is pure speculation. I wonder if we will see at least someone making use of it somehow in the future.)
In my head I am going through the list of characters who are using a gun as weapon. But there is no one that comes to mind β¦ .
Now, I am sure that Lucci and Shaka are related by blood:
As bad as the last page is, it gives us one last very relevant aspect we can pick up from Shaka being shot in the head. And that is the fact that Shaka is at least partly human, if not a full-fledged person. Because he can bleed.
If you look closer, you can also make out the difference in the relationship between Vegapunk and Shaka in contrast to Vegapunk and the other Satellites, on which Oda is not quite focusing β they seem more shallow.
To me, it looks like the Stellar is more relying on Shaka as the β what I would call β βspokesmanβ or unofficial βleaderβ of the other Satellites. You can notice this throughout the arc: Shaka is the one who Vegapunk asked, if the white worrior was there, further more is Shaka depicted as the number β01β β the first of the Satellites. Shaka is also the one that is most often than not concerned with the safety of the Stellar as it is his priority. And he is also the one who gives orders to the other Satellites.
Vegapunk has a somewhat deeper connection to Shaka in more ways than he has with the other Satellites. And that is shown throughout the chapters on Egghead.
Now, that connection needs to come with a certain level of trust. And to acquire trust, someone must know the other quite well. That being said, I wonder for how long Stellar knows Shaka and how he has come to meet him.
We do know however, that Vegapunk mentioned with Sentomaru that he had helped him when he was hungry and on the streets, earlier. It indicates that Sentomaru could have been orphaned back then. This made me think, if somehow Shaka could have been an orphan himself, and was then taken in by Vegapunk β like Sentomaru. And if that is correct, and we still have in mind, that Shaka is almost a duplicate of Lucci, who he is sharing the same body language, body-posture, eloquents speech-pattern and name-mirroring (Shaka β Buddha Shaka Nyorai (Good); Lucci β Lucifer (Evil)) with, then I certainly can see a connection here. Because we know that the WG has taken in orphans as well, to train them to become CP-agents. I mean, Lucci could very well have been an orphan himself.
Now what if both β Shaka and Lucci are related and were taken in by Vegapunk or the WG?
And yes, I think Lilith is Shakaβs Jabura.
