Wonder if the remaining one's who join Shin see a different Kanki in him, one in a future where he would have had somone to pull him out of that anger. I liked the final moments from his flashback ngl, the only one who could pull him off that darkness bring his love interest found brutalized, ofc he would turn into a madman

Kanki's performance and dialogues are the best in series. Whether it was against Renpa or in coalition or against Riboku recently.

Maron gave that speech about how if Kanki's gambit to have Shin escape results in Shin defeating Riboku later on would be a win for Kanki. That makes me think he might join the HSU to see that through.

The Saki Clan could be rehabilitated into a medical corps. Kanki "saved" them by turning them into monsters but Shin truly saves them by having them regain their humanity.

Ogiko cannot join, man is too op. Dude and his instincts earns him the Sixth GG seat.

It does seem a bit weird that Hara would practically resurrect Zenou to kill the greatest physical threat to Kanki's remaining forces only to have Kanki and co immediately die afterwards anyway.

It makes it look like the only reason JKR died (in a contrived way to boot) was just so that the Kanki Army wouldn't be destroyed without taking at least one Zhao General down.

It does seem a bit weird that Hara would practically resurrect Zenou to kill the greatest physical threat to Kanki's remaining forces only to have Kanki and co immediately die afterwards anyway.

It makes it look like the only reason JKR dead (in a contrived way to boot) was just so that the Kanki Army wouldn't be destroyed without taking at least one Zhao General down.

Thinking about it more, it really would be strange if Kanki dies now considering we haven't even really had his backstory.

The recent flashback was more the origins of the Saki Clan and of the Kanki Army as a whole. Kanki in that flashback is already capable of grotesque acts of violence, fully capable of killing multiple men twice his size and his character has an already established view of the world.

We haven't seen what made Kanki what he is to begin with, we have only seen what made him supposedly worse.
