I'm thankful the narrator just definitively said the Kid Pirates were over, no more scurrying around waiting their return. Kid's dreams of piracy are done and buried. He can go pivot careers like Bellamy.
Agreed he will be the strongest mechanic in onepiece. Imagine being able to brag that onepiece have such heavy hitters that even its mechanic kidd has coc.

Happy kidd finally gets to live out his calling

Big Mom is garbage.
Imagine having your final attack be cut in 1/2 by a DFless Law and imagine wanking that character to be > Shanks.... Just nope.

Kaidou might not be as powerful offensively as Shanks, but hey attack power isnt everything. :kayneshrug:
Be that as it may,

Oda sold Big Mom as a rival to Shanks. She is supposed to be a pirate comparable to him and yet how long could Kid fight Big Mom by himself while Shanks one shot him. Hell Kid was even lasting against Big Mom while Hawkins was damaging him in the background.

These spoilers are a far cry from this:

The other way, it is like saying that Thatch and Sanji were rivals since both are Cooks and later then, Sanji becomes Yonko.

People will say that Thatch is as strong as any top tier since Sanji was his rival.

The only hype that makes Mihawk top tier is that his former rival can clash with any other Emperor

But we know that Thatch aint as strong as Sanji even though he could have the title of being the best cook
Why is blud comparing cooking with an actual fighting style?

In the One Piece world, the World Swordsman Summit (WSS) is a prestigious event where the world's greatest swordsmen gather to showcase their skills and compete for the title of "World's Strongest Swordsman." To qualify for the WSS, one must pass the WSS Exam, a grueling test of swordsmanship that challenges even the most skilled swordsmen.

The WSS Exam consists of three rounds: the written test, the physical test, and the duel. The written test evaluates the swordsmen's knowledge of sword history, techniques, and etiquette. The physical test assesses their physical prowess and agility, while the duel measures their combat skills and strategy.

Mihawk, a legendary swordsman and one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, was rumored to have cheated during the WSS Exam to secure his title as the World's Strongest Swordsman. It is said that he bribed the examiners to rig the tests in his favor, allowing him to pass easily. However, the exact details of his cheating remain a mystery to this day.

On the other hand, Shanks, a Yonko and one of the most powerful pirates in the One Piece world, came close to passing the WSS Exam but fell short in the final duel. Despite his exceptional swordsmanship and strength, he was defeated by the reigning champion, Dracule Mihawk.

In the end, the WSS Exam serves as a testament to the skill and dedication required to become a true master swordsman in the One Piece world, and its title is held in high regard by all who aspire to wield a sword with the greatest of skill.

That is how news spreaded. We know that Mihawk never defeated Shanks. Rumors says that Mihawk told Shanks that in East blue was the best sake so Shanks went to find it and once Shanks returned to the new world with one arm, Mihawk rejected the duel.

I'll be honest Zorobros. At this point Oda ain't giving a flying fuck about the arguments. He's not making Shanks weaker than Mihawk in terms of feats and on-screen hype. I'll gladly shit on the Red crippled Hobo because i hate his ass but that's just reality.

Oda doesn't care one bit for Mihawk
