Current Events Alright, I Can’t Deny It, Shanks Was Badass In 1079

I can’t deny it, Shanks was great in 1079. And as Shanks’ number 1 hater of all time…for me to say this is pretty big praise.

Finally he’s actually doing something instead of just standing around posing and making mascot faces…

I will say though, Shanks was giving off some hardcore evil vibes at the end there. Some of those facial expressions were not the expressions of an inherently good man.

Is this the beginning of evil Shanks?

He legit asked whether kidd is healthy now or still injured.

And, only attacked when he saw Kidd doing great damage to his fleet.

That's good character vibe and fits in line with Shanks.

Shanks has four consistent things about him

-don’t fuck with his friends
-don’t start wars
-he isn’t a saint
-he hates Blackbeard

This chapter has a bit of all four. I genuinely have no complaints about how Shanks has ever been used. Yes, he’s a Shonen Inspiration figure with all that entails, but so what? The genre is what the genre is.
