i'm not a socialist, but you certainly have some views about stuff that are left leaning.
If you think the "colombia cocaine" line is gonna trigger me you are sorely mistaken. And even if it's true that you ain't a virgin (still not convinced) who cares if she was colombian? I used to go to Brazil all the time and I had sex with my gf there, you don't see me flexing that shit cause who cares if my ex was Brazilian. I don't care where you're from dingus.

I never really understood why people strive for bans on certain types of guns, magazine capacity, attachments, etc. All seems like frivolous considerations unless you do a blanket ban on all semi-automatic weapons period. There's nothing particular special about the AR-15 not the designation "assault weapon" besides the fact that modern rifles are somewhat more efficient. But it's not like you can't commit a mass shooting with, say, a shotgun, a higher caliber rifle, or handguns. At least on paper. So it's hard for me to see any legislations targeted at these things as anything but a means to an end - incremental bans and loopholes to make gun ownership more difficult. Try arguing with a straight face letting a criminal put a scope on their rifle or not makes a world of difference - it doesn't. It's just a means to an end.

That said, I don't mind restrictions in theory - but they should be placed on people, not the guns. Either you are responsible enough to own a deadly weapon or not. If a person can't be trusted with an AR-15, why should I be any more assured if they can "just" own a shotgun or a black powdered musket?

In practice though restrictions are always pretty easy to circumvent - just drive across state lines or have a girlfriend do a straw purchase is how most people who shouldn't have guns acquire them. So from a realpolitik standpoint I'm fairly pro gun, I'm cynical abdicating my right will make the USA any safer, perhaps by a tad smidge. Versus knowing I'm defenseless *personally*.
Universal background checks are a must. But you as a civilian don't need an AR 15.

i don't think i need to prove myself to some internet kid.I'm almost 30,i have done everything that someone can do in life already.

Why not?

Have you sufficiently qualified why an AR-15 is so special among semi-automatic rifles?
Assault rifles (weapons that are ususally used in the battlefield) shouldn't be a commodity IMO. What I can concede on is that if you are a collector and you really really want them, you should get a license for it, but it shouldn't be available on demand.

Yet you still thought that you "fucking" a Colombian girl would trigger me. So when a Brazilian girl fucks a foreigner you get triggered?
shit, you still going on about this?i mentioned this because i thought it was such a coincidence.Dude, sex tourism here started back in 1500 when the portuguese and spanish first came here lol don't give a fuck about what anyone does. Its their business.

yeah, until you get in a gunfight vs multiple attackers or the organized crime.Watch the video i posted. Its interesting.

Yeah people who aren't educated about guns are always the most stalwart on the topic. Doesn't take much to know that a weapon being "used on a battlefield" is an arbitrary distinction.
Assault weapons is a ww1 concept that came to be when the germans were storming trenches with luger pistols converted into carbines with wooden stocks and 32 round magazines.Anything can be used into an "assault" weapon role.Americans used 1911s and shotguns to do the same in WW1.

Yeah some people seem to think guns from 100 years ago were trash or something. Nope.

Newer weapons are a bit more optimized but functionally semi automatics aren't more deadly now than they were 50 years ago. Rifles and rounds have trended towards being lighter and having smaller calibers.

The intermediate catridge was born in ww2.STG44 was the first of this kind of weapon.A high cap ban is bullshit because people are attacked by multiple agressors often, firepower matters.

A lot of the "ban assault weapon" advocates will say "but you can own a shotgun or whatever".

They don't understand that a consideration for AR style weapons is that they're actually safer in a home defense scenario. The 12 gauge you can buy easily over a counter will not only blow a hole in a person but will over penetrate and keep going if you use slugs or buckshot.

5.56/.223 tumbles and fragments faster, yeah. But their argument is usually about mass shootings and gangs.
