Don't you feel off guys, that Oda has been wondering how will Shanks actually fight? If Shanks were just another regular swordsman, then Oda would already said it! No secrets here.

Oda cloned Roger's move due some short of tribute (Shanks loved Roger too much as a kid and probably he was a father to him).

I admit that I thought that Oda made just a Roger clone, but now I am thinking about things much more carefully and it makes sense.

At this point, if you are SO deadset and on the Fraudhawk and Godking Shanks agenda at least argue from an angle that makes a small amount of sense. Arguing that Shanks is not a swordsman after this chapter is actively denying reality. It's over. His first and only named attack after two-plus decades is a sword attack. It is no longer just him using it to block, or from a non-canon movie, THIS is how Shanks fights!

Accept it and move on to arguing that Shanks would be world's strongest swordsman if Mihawk also lost his arm, he actually IS the WSS and just let Mihawk keep the title because he is a nice guy or whatever other cope you can come up with but at least stop with the "Shanks is no swordsman" shtick alright?

Because otherwise, we have pretty much reached a point where Shanks will legit have to turn to the reader, go "hey, hey you! Yeah, talking to you dumbass. I am a swordsman! I use my sword as my main fighting style" for some of you fuckers to accept he is a swordsman doesn't he? Like, Oda doesn't suffice either, it has to come from the GODKING himself doesn't it?

What about Ikoku? The attack that didn't cut Kidd and the attack that was explicitly said to be Giant Swordsmanship?

What does else Oda need to say here? Everytime in the story we've seen Shanks actually do anything, it's with his sword. So unless there's a hidden devil fruit power, or some weird germa mutation going on Oda really doesn't need to elaborate here.
