That’s the last we saw of the fight.

Does anyone think Oda finishing ominously with Blackbeard grinning and about to use his DF nullification attack is a good thing for Law? Especially when we haven’t went back to the fight in ~15 chapters?

Oda’s already moving on to setting up Blackbeard getting involved in Egghead, with Garp and with Shanks. There’s not much set up for Law doing anything.

The only thing saving Law’s blushes is the opponent he matched up against. Shanks would one-shot Law as well. And Kid could land Damned Punk on Blackbeard if he’d been in Law’s place.

Both are nowhere near ready to genuinely fight a top tier solo. That’s why the Big Mom fight played out the way it did while Luffy was actually going toe to toe with Kaido by himself.

Kidd stock crashed so low that I don't think anyone can hit rock bottom to such extent.



With that being said, I really don't know what to expect anymore - If oda can treat kidd like this then I don't think anything is preventing oda from doing the same to law

I think he won't.
In fact, he has already done better than Kidd, not only hurting BB but more importantly clashing with him.

Obviously, BB is way stronger: he is a damn full-fledged top tier, and one of the final villains of the manga at that, so no one is arguing about Law "winning". Everyone knows that BB is stronger so Law losing isn't an issue or related to Law power level.
However, I think that Law will perform better than Kidd, as he has already done, and in some way will manage to escape.

If he can escape, then BB will try to rob Luffy or even Shanks and that could lead to BB vs Shanks.

If we saw law in a chapter tomorrow defeated on the floor dead or close to death, he already fought BB(which fights very differently from Shanks so far)

It'll be hard for Oda to make him lose worse as we already saw he fighting.

Law will get the Scabbards vs Kaidou Treatment

That's how BB fights, he endures his opponent's attacks and suffers. Switch Law and Kid's opponents and the result would've likely been identical.

Law’s already done a lot better than Kid.
I feel like Law would at least would grow from this fight, Kid got one shotted before he could evolve in any sort of way which is the sad part. I don’t think either of them dies though.

Unlike Kid, Law is very strategic and doesn’t jump head first into situations. He tries to figure out the best outcome for him and the people fighting alongside him.

Even if he gets eliminated by Blackbeard, respect for him will remain. He did his best and worked with what he had in the best ways that he could.

I’ve always been a Law fan though, so… :lawbepo:

Law would wish he gets the same situation, it would prepare him for a huge training, for a redemption arc, for a glorious comeback.
Law fans should pray he can reach the same!

He's probably going to lose like Kidd but hey, at least he managed to put up a fight. I'll kinda defend Kidd by saying that Current Shanks imo is superior than Current BB. So there's that...
