Well it looks like we won’t be seeing Saul for a while.

Kidd’s defeat is utterly humiliating and it does remind me of the SHs defeat on SA. As much as I would like to see Kidd return, I don’t see it happening. This isn’t the halfway point of the story it’s the endgame. Furthermore, Kidd isn’t going to get the same luxury as Luffy because it isn’t his story. The best I am hoping for is that he will show up in the final war.

Law’s defeat is inevitable because there’s no way Luffy isn’t fighting Blackbeard. Law may have remembered he is a captain at the end of Wano, but he’s really just an honorary SH who will be back to his rightful place soon.

If Shanks defeated Kidd so easily I wonder what difficulty Luffy vs Shanks will be?

Dorry and Brogy are some bitches ngl. They only stepped up once Shanks one shotted Kidd's ass. It's like the cocky person who acts high and mighty against someone ONLY after his older brother took care of said person.
Kid attacked Shanks first

Dorry & Brogy state their reasoning on panel: Kidd attacked their homeland therefore he's taken down

Looking at Kidd’s performance this chapter, how do you guys think Luffy will fare against Shanks? He barely beat tired Kaido who fought multiple strong characters and with multiple attempts.

MUUGEN

天下無双
Given the on-screen display of current Blackbeard and Shanks, how do we suppose BB will "kill" Red Hair? Is that still a theory the fanbase thinks will come to fruition? BB is no chump but I don't see him or anyone being able to stop that Divine Departure...
quake quake can more than likely negate it and BB already displayed some of the strongest endurance and underrated feats tbh

100 years to early for luffy

Thoughts about the chapter:

There are two very important details we can gain from this chapter, which are hinting at the still hidden relations at the moment on Egghead:
  1. York’s plan: In the flashback of this chapter, we can see the moment York is realizing that the WG has betrayed her. Note that the moment is a flashback and happens before she talks to Vegapunk down in the basement. And although York knows that the WG also wants her dead and doesn’t even consider her wish in becoming a celestial dragon, York can be seen to be quite sure about her wish to still be in reach for her, when we see her after the flashback talking to Stellar. She is sure of herself becoming a celestial dragon! And if she is this sure of it, she probably has `something´ at her disposal to either threaten the WG to do her bidding or bring the WG to fall using this `something´. Now, if we want to know what this `something´ is, we need to think of the few things the WG fears most in the world. And this could be an ancient weapon/another weapon or information on the lost century or the empty throne, etc.. Whatever it is, York is sure it will be powerful enough to secure her a seat as a celestial dragon.
  2. Another traitor: And the one little detail that gives us the crucial information comes from York. She told us that she worked together with the WG but had been betrayed by them, as she is now a target, too. The important part here is the intel that she worked together with the WG. Now, if we look back at chapter 1078, we can see that York literally pushed the WG to investigate on Egghead in telling them of Vegapunk’s research into the forbidden history. She wants Vegapunk dead! And the drive, with which she is doing so, pushes the WG finally to make an assassination attempt on Vegapunk. Now imagine yourself being York and really badly wanting to kill Vegapunk. And while you are talking to the Gorosei, you remember a small detail that is very important to your plan. So, you convey to them that they have a spy in their ranks, and it is Stussy. Because, Stussy could very well turn the tables and help Stellar escape if she was to be left to do what she wanted and what the Stellar intended her doing. With that important piece of information, the WG needs to take action against Stussy. This could be in form of either killing her or preparing for the case when she finally turns against them. Either way, we should see some form of preparation taking place or at least the outcome of it. But – we only see that we can see nothing of this sort. Not even Kaku and Lucci seem to know of her status as they were most shocked to find out about it, when she turned against them. Isn’t this kind of strange? Why endangering this important mission and letting a known spy take part of it, when the WG knows that it could end in a fiasco?! Maybe York has forgotten to tell them?
It all boils down to two scenarios:

York forgot telling the WG about Stussy:
Now, York could also have just forgotten about telling the Gorosei about Stussy. In that case I am wondering, why Stussy was not telling the Vegapunks who the traitor amongst them was. She was spying on the WG for over 20 years – her not getting the intel that they planned to take down Stellar would have surely made the round to her. And she also had the opportunity to convey to the other Vegapunks the WG’s plan, when they were all gathered in the control room together. But she did not and I am wondering why not.

York did convey to the WG that Stussy was Vegapunk’s spy:

The WG not taking any measures against the spy in their midst only makes sense, if they already have knowledge of Stussy being Vegapunk’s spy and know that she has turned her back on him and is now working for them. Taking action in this case is not required. And the story already gives us proof that she is not on Vegapunk’s side: Her pro-active call to let Akainu be informed about the SHP on Egghhead underlines that she is working for the WG and not Vegapunk. She could have not ordered the call and would not in the least have endangered her cover as spy. But she did. It also seems that Stussy is putting Lucci and Kaku to sleep because of her status a Vegapunks spy, while in fact she could also just enforce Akainu’s order to not engage the SHP. So, Stussy is taking out Kaku and Lucci, who are not listening to any orders given to them by the WG (not destroying the lab, not starting a fight with Luffy, etc.). She seems not on the side of Vegapunk – at least logically.

In any case, another detail comes up which gives us a question of its own: Kaku and Lucci did not know about her being a prior spy of Vegapunk. And now I am wondering why the WG did not see it necessary to at least inform them for the purpose of their mission. Because this detail could at least make them prepared for every possible outcome. Especially Lucci needs to weight all the possibilities as he is the unofficial strategist of the group.

Now, if we look at how Stussy has taken out Kaku and Lucci, we see that they – especially Lucci – are reacting utmost shocked. Stussy even comments on his shock in stating: “So when you don’t understand, your first instinct is to go for the kill?”. Here we see that the world government didn’t inform them.
In fact, not informing Kaku and Lucci lets me guess that the WG is not trusting both of them with that important detail – otherwise it would not make sense to not inform them. Now, to underline that statement, we have to go back again. Back to the scenes in which we see Lucci and Kaku at the Reverie. In the background there is one person, that seems to watch the whole situation calmly. Stussy. We also see Stussy back when Lucci is making that call to Wano to inform his collegues about the plan of the WG back then. And again she watches the situation with interest as she drinks her tea/coffee. Isn’t this strange? She seems like someone, who watches them – or spies on them.
And now keep in mind that Shaka is like a copy of Lucci in every aspect of their existence. If we connect that York has informed the WG about Vegapunk a few months prior and that Stussy is still working for the WG and is maybe even spying on Kaku and Lucci, because of this possible connection to Vegapunk, then it makes sense that Lucci is seemingly not anymore taking their mission as their priority at all (like we see him doing during Water 7 and Enies Lobby). His behavior was strange to begin with, starting with him questioning their mission.

What I am also questioning is who he person was, who destroyed the cameras throughout the Labo – the shadow Shaka had seen. Was it one of the Seraphim’s or someone else? We know that York was – according to her plan - with her group searching for Vegapunk. S-Hawk and S-Bear were mere moments later seen in the control room, S-Snake was heading for York’s group and faced them off not a moment later.
That leaves S-Shark. But the shadow – or at least the hand reaching to the camera doesn’t look at all like that of a fishman.
Also, if it was one of the Seraphims, wouldn’t we see at least a wing or something alike?

We also need to keep in mind that there is still a technology on that island that is called `hologram´ – Oda would not have shown us how it functions, if he wasn’t going to use it in the story.

And Blackbeard still has that control chip for the Seraphim in his possession.
