General & Others Does mihawk being rayleigh's son help or hurt

#1

If mihawk actually actually the child of rayleigh and shakky does that help or hurt the mihawk agenda?

Meaning mihawk would ties to rayleigh and zoro. Zoro having ties to both of them
Shanks already having ties to roger and luffy. Luffy having ties to both of them

Help. Concrete proof of him surpassing his dad puts him in rogers ball park strength wise.
The son that surpasses the parent? That puts Mihawk on Roger's ballpark and this is assuming that there's any in or out of story evidence that Roger was stronger than Rayleigh.
You probably don't want Mihawk to be related to Ray or Imu. :hope:
And what if he didn't surpass rayleigh?
:saturn:

Mihawk is just a random devil worshipper
On the contrary, his Dracule surname is quite apt for what he is. His eyes are telling, too. Him and Imu are the last descendants of the Ancient Kingdom's vampiric clan, the ones who worked from the inside with the 20 Kingdoms and backstabbed the AK. They have longer-than-normal lifespans, even exceeding that of a giant. Imu reflects the more negative connotations of the clan, staying in the shadows, manipulating people to do his bidding. Mihawk, on the other hand, knows no allegiance. He merely sails the sea in search for a good fight. He might as of late calmed down, even getting cozy in a combat-less lifestyle, but his thirst for blood (figuratively; I'm not saying he'd pull a Stussy and bite people's necks) is still bubbling right under the surface.

For Mihawk to be Rayleigh's son would be to reduce his importance in over all worldbuilding lore. He is part of the Void. He is a Zunisha in human form, wandering incessantly.

So who is related Imu, Rayleigh or Shakky?

Mihawk being the son of Rayleigh somehow hurts him, indirectly. It means there is part of his strength that comes from (passed down) genetic.

His strength :
Before = his own + fate/heaven (CoC)
After = his own + fate + inherited gene

Even if that inherited gene counts 0.001%, it's still higher than 0. And inherited gene always counts/affects someone, otherwise you're not their children.

Think Sanji. His dad is fodder level in strength, but he is super genius scientist. That's why Sanji is smart/tactical.
