Character Discussion I Saw a video who says that Eustass Kid Can be worst rival ever ?

I actually like Kidd’s character, but there’s definitely something to be said about how he was portrayed as the “main” supernova back at Sabaody but never really delivered on that
Law got a whole arc of focus. Bege got to be awesome in WCI. Bonney’s getting a lot of focus right now. Kidd… got to push an old lady off a building and even then got overshadowed by Law.

I don’t really think Kidd would repeat his Wano storyline if he plays a role in Elbaf cause both situations were honestly very different. In Wano, Kidd got screwed over by Apoo, but kept his head held high and stuck to his pride, and this was portrayed as a good thing. Here, Kidd and his crew got their shit kicked in, and this was 100% Kidd’s own fault as it was a direct consequence of Kidd’s gung-ho behavior. I think if Kidd does play a role in Elbaf (And I think he will), then he’ll actually go through some growth, especially since a pirate losing their ship is gonna be a real humbling experience no matter what

Not a rival. None of the Supernova's were after the timeskip, they are glorified allies. Its been that obvious since Wano started and Luffy/Kid started teaming up.

The problem is Kid was never really a true rival. He isn't WB in this comparison. Hell he ain't even Shiki. He is like a bronze medalist.

Yea i never saw Kid as Luffys Rival like many were thinking. If we wanna go with the Supernova Point of view than every single Supernova is a Rival to each other in Fact Killer was Luffys Rival as well then or Zoro was Kids Rival as well. Bonney is the Rival of all them if some were to use the Supernova Point. Luffy doesent really have a Rival in OP right now.

Oda seems to be taking Kid’s storyline in a way that parallels Luffy’s gone wrong.

Kid vs Shanks is his sabaody except instead of being saved, his crew was probably annihilated and he might be the only survivor.

Hence I think Elbaf Kid will probably be what would have happened to Luffy post marineford if he didn’t even have his friends.

I think Elbaf Kid will be a broken and destroyed person and Luffy will probably save him from being murdered by Blackbeard.

You could say BB is a rival but even he isnt perfect since he is much older.

Luffy got oneshotted by Kaido, therefore the raid failed! Kid got oneshotted by Shanks, therefore his rivalry with Luffy failed!
