My version of the manga will currently be that Kaidou mistook Garp as Oden in his memory's top 5.

That was quite clearly a pirate top 5, end even then not all of them were chosen. For example, Ray, who Kaido saw at least in GV, wasn't even there, but Oden, who was weaker, yes, and so on.

Don't worry my guy. No matter the amount of cope will make these panels that directly confirm the Admirals superiority in strength to Garp even 2 years ago just dissappear. Everything Garp is doing just hypes the superior force.

This feat of Garp is crazy good. But inevitably like Rayleigh he's victim to his old age. Loss in stamina and Durability. In MF he could go either way extreme diff with an Admiral, now it's high diff.

Thats called dehyping and demphasizing your characters. It happened to Baby 5 and Buffalo in PH and they were relegated to essentially non threats in DR. The difference is Doflamingo had like 15 members and the crew was only half full.

Burgess lost to Sabo before he gained powers. Theres no logic in antagonists losing before fighting Luffy's crew.
