Now What about Garp.. He came up with a precise plan to hit big in the middle of Pirate island..
Just to get rid of a bunch of fodders with an overpowered display of might.. From face value
it would be easy to thin that Garp can spam Galaxy lmpact as he wants.. But that's not the case because
like Whitebeard stated he's a washed up Old Marine..


That's why we get introduced in this chapter to the grandchild of Vice Admiral Tsuru the new Generation..
Tsuru is practically retired like Sengoku.. lt's not a point to dismiss..


So Blacbeard called Rayleigh's Bluff.. Will Shiryu and the other commanders do too or not?..


And How much Haki did Galaxy lmpact drain Garp from?..

Judging by Kaido's dialogue against Luffy, it seem that Adv CoC is very taxing hence why Luffy lost the moment he unlocked Adv CoC because he didn't use it wisely.

I think Garp can use 10 Galaxy Impacts before his haki stamina runs out.

Also, smoking that Haki pack.

WB didn't want his troops demoralised, and Garp wasn't fighting during the war because of Ace, just doing the bare bare minimum.
If you didn't understand this at the time, that Luffy's grandfather who was Roger's rival and was NOT sick unlike WB, was seriously strong, then you need to think again lol.

That was not my only point though.. Rayleigh said himself that the him now can not win against Blackbeard..

Your rational is cool and all but.. Rayleigh and Whitebeard maintained theirselves fit, they were and are jacked.. So your point does
not work.. It was mentioned many times in the story that age is a big factor for top tiers..

lf Whitebeard was not getting old, Marco agreed that he would have easily dodged(level 2 CoO) Squardo.. Meaning Willpower is related with Age.. Aging is a sickness too.. A deterioration of the Body and Mind..

"Don't worry my sons/daughters, the Marine force in front of us just has 5 Top Tiers ready to fuck you up, keep pushing forward!".

He had to fake bump their morale.

I think Marco situation clearly shows how wrong WB was. Garp didn't even try, he just showed up in front of Marco ( that's another interesting thing, Marco didn't realize Garp will spawn in front of him until he was there ) and yeeted him away from Ace to show Marco his place in the food chain, if Garp was so finished and old Marco would try again but he didn't because he understood the message.

Maybe Whitebeard Faked bump their morale as you say.. Or it could have been just what it was.. Since Old Age does hinder
Top Tier in the long run as shown with WSM himself.. Whitebeard's line is sort of correct to a degree..

Well you can not always take everything at face value, it depends on context.. We must filter the incoherences..
I would not downplay either of the character there, it,s just how Oda wanted it to playout.. Like Garp could have done way more at
Marineford but somehow just couldn't make up his mind or something.. That goes for Mihawk..
