If Kidd was just all about bodying fodder who laugh at him then there’s no way he’d have fans. He’s more courageous than 99% of the characters in this manga, very ambitious, he’s got a bond with his VC captain that I see many fans say that they like, and he has an unbreakable spirit that allows him to suffer humiliating defeats and still keep moving forward with confidence.

He wouldn’t be a rival character (who is respected by the MC) with CoC, a supernova vice captain, and a 3b beri bounty if there was nothing respectable about him you clowns lol. Your takes on Kidd aren’t any better than the OPs :kayneshrug:

Both statements can be true, Shanks is purely a self insert deviation of Jesus Christ himself and honestly imo a boring character

On tha other hand Kidd got exactly what his ahh deserved. It was no way on gods green earth that Kidd was bout to beat tha strongest nation in tha world along with tha current prolly strongest Kings Haki user along with this big ahh fleet on his own. That would’ve been tha epitamy of horrendous writing

This is Blackbeard. He actually has zero morals.

Kid at the very least lives by a pirate’s code. He killed people because they insulted him or they were weaker pirates. But he clearly loves his crew, he got captured trying to save Killer.

Blackbeard was an orphan who was taken in by WB, who basically raised him as a son, only for him to stab him in the back. Killing Thatch, giving Ace to the WG, and ultimately murdering him and taking his powers.

Even BB told Luffy to just let them laugh and that he would find fights not worth fighting.
And he also said they had spirit after they refused to fight this means BB would see Kidd as a Bellamy level pirate.

It just shows how disconnected from reality Oda really is, because the truth is, there is not a single strong person in this world that is like Shanks. There is not a single strong person that lets people pour drinks on their head and does nothing like a coward. Everyone in real life with shanks personality is a passive weakling that gets bullied.

Strong people are the ones with the same personality as Eustass Kid. People that are hard working, courageous, ambitious and fearless. People that aim for the very top and will do anything to get there, even if that means tossing their morals aside to dominate and climb above others. People that are ready to take on any challenge required no matter how difficult it may be. People that never give up and keep bouncing back after failing. That is what actual strong people are like. That is Eustass Kid. But despite all that, Oda made shanks win because shanks is a nice guy and kid is not, and that makes me want to f*****g vomit

you are operating under the illusion that violence is the only path to strength. and yes, it is a possible path, and because it is an easy path, many people follow it. but the true path to strength is technique. and that's why in the real world, very commonly the best martial artists, swordsmen, bodybuilders, et cetera, are calm and peaceful people, in many cases religious people. furthermore, being easily angered when offended demonstrates insecurity, strong people are confident. a person who laughs when someone is trying to offend them just demonstrates how pathetic the offense was. violence and willpower will never overcome technique, strategy and discipline.
