Okay I saw this theory multiple times now
Some people believe that the ancient hero from botw was actually Ganondorf
The princess looks exactly like the one we saw in the new trailer but the hero doesn’t look like "Link"

This hero has red hair and a big nose, exactly like Ganondorf

What if the past Ganondorf was sick of this endless cycle? He didn’t want to be Demise's puppet
Maybe he fought against it but lost in the end.
Ganondorf had maybe an inner conflict, the Gerudo in him vs Demise

This is just a far fetched theory but it would be interesting and something new
It's an interesting theory, but I doubt it.

I highly doubt it. Look at the end of the trailer in which we see a new painting; in this painting, GanonDORF is clearly visible commanding his army against his enemies.

That whole 3 timelines gimmick is so garbage. :suresure:
In my understanding, BotW technically happens at all 3 timelines, regardless of how different they are. Examples:
Child timeline: MM -> TP -> FSA -> ... -> eventually BotW happens.
Adult timeline: WW -> PH -> ST -> ... -> eventually BotW happens.
Downfall timeline: AlttP -> LA -> OoS/OoA -> AlbW -> LoZ -> AoL -> ... -> eventually BotW happens.

Maybe that's why there are elements of many Zelda games within the overworld of BotW, indicating how it could take place in all 3 timelines.

Or another possibility is that ancient Ganondorf - 10000 years ago - ultimately merged all three timelines to create a new world/universe. This possibility is high, especially with the power of the triforce. I mean, the same Ganondorf talked about the birth of his new world in the same trailer. I think this might be a flashback or event of the past showing why and how BotW ultimately merged the 3 timelines.

Personally, I think the stuff with Ganondorf merging the 3 timelines is so much better than the stuff that BotW "might happen in all 3 timelines"; it's not as nonsense and random as the latter and it actually shows that Ganondorf reached his goal and ultimately won.
