You are assuming Kuzan will want to prove his worth to BB by doing it and if so, I will tell you that you are wrong.

Oda made sure Blackbeard says that he wants to use Coby's hero's title as a bargaining chip to talk with WG.

Now he has someone worth x500 Coby. Garp is literally a Goddo for Marine recruits.

Unlike the other yonkous we had, BB actually has a progression - both in strength and as a pirate captain - just like luffy.

He has always been on the move and always involved in some shit.

His character portrayal reflects multiple personalities which makes him more interesting as a character and unpredictable as well.

And, he isn't afraid of backing away or saying sorry (like to kuzan) - this just makes BB character more dynamic unlike your regular villains.

Not everything has to be seen from PL perspective - and if we talk about PL then oda is clearly reserving BB strength.

He is using same normal moves again and again and his fight against Law got off-panelled when he was about to get serious.

He is not only growing in parallel to Luffy but also oda is keeping his strength as a secret.


Narrative wise BB is set to be strongest and you will see when his time will come

Zoro did more damage to Kaido in their brief 1v1 than Law did to BB but somehow people think Law is the second strongest. Even after been blown away by Zoro’s strength twice on rooftop alone..

Law fought fresh teach 1v1 and had him damaged, panting.
