I feel like Devon's fighting Robin
Devon has the power to create illusions and she knows about Robin's past through Kuzan. I can definitely see her trying to play on Robin's trauma by recreating a buster call, showing Robin's loved ones dying, etc

I mean based on what Teach said this chapter, I think all the Blackbeard Pirates are in it for themselves. Lafitte seems to respect Teach, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's loyal to him. I think he has faith in Teach, but only works with him because being the crewmate of the future pirate king's crewmate is ultimately gonna work out in your favor
