Medicare4All which abolishes Private insurance for once is extremely radical. Most countries with universal healthcare in Europe have a private healthcare insurance system in the market.
Anti Capitalism rhetoric as well, most of these countries are staunch capitalist.
I haven't read on Bernie's Sanders policies in a while tbf, but in 2020 he was not center left. And for sure not in 2016 either lol.

Bernie criticizes capitalism in its current form. He's made it clear he does not believe in a post capitalist economy. I do not have a problem with getting rid of private insurance, but if we can reach a compromise of keeping private insurance around while having a fully funded public insurance for everyone then I'd be ok with that. Bernie still believes in a somewhat free market economy, but we gotta come to terms with how reaganomics have destroyed the middle class in America. Just so you guys know how bad it's getting, here's an article explaining how corporations have used the issue of "inflation" to jack up prices. In the article you'll see how a guy that works for one of Europe's biggest and oldest financial institutions (He's a staunch capitalist btw) is actually afraid of how capitalism is getting out of control due to corporate greed.

He goes a little bit beyond. But I think they are necessary changes. I hate the private healthcare insurance industry, they've preyed on us long enough. I also believe we should heavily regulate big pharma like Bernie has advocated and impose price control laws to prevent them from ripping people off. Regardless of the minor disagreements, I think you and I both know we need a universal healthcare system.
That's the thing man, Biden lied about the public option, he never took it seriously. He didn't even include it in Build Back Better. You and I both know these politicians are bought and owned by corporations. We need someone who has the guts to go against their interests in order to at least get the mild reforms we so desperately need. I'm hoping that we can elect good public officials at a local level in order to start implementing these changes at the state level, I think that'd be a good way to implement change in the long run.

Bernie Sanders isn't really center-left. Sanders supports captialism but believes the lack of regulation has led to a huge imbalance of wealth and causes numerous economic recessions every decade or so(and it does).
By American standards, he can BARELY qualify as left leaning yet he's still called a communist. His entire policy can be simplified as "Capitalism is good n' all but chill out. Take a step or 2 back."

Yeah. In Germany, once you're in private insurance you can't go back easily.
All that glitters is not gold.
Even tho when you're young&healthy it may pay off to enter a private insurance.
Some even give you money back when you didn't submit any bills in one year.
Been thinking about doing that tbh🤔
It would pay off even if the monthly fee is a little higher.
