Character Discussion If Zoro didn’t exist would Mihawk have any fans?

People downplay him just to downplay Zoro as well.
Ultimately, Mihawk still would hold his title and be stronger than some powerful swordsmen. So if you don’t have an agenda and isn’t biased you’d just recognize that.
It’s sad that Zoro fans have to argue that Zoro’s goal is not a fraud and that Mihawk actually is the WSS because that is a fact.
The anti Zoro sect tho will just go against the author to satisfy their agenda. It is they who should be put in question here.

That's the whole point.
You have no reason to say shanks is stronger but you do cause of your luffy agenda
Zoro will also be stronger than both
But you worried that they fight them at the same time so you cope by lying about shanks

There are plenty of things that I can say that put Shanks > Mihawk in terms of power.
Also you do realize that Shanks isn’t Luffys ceiling right?

There are plenty of things that I can say that put Shanks > Mihawk in terms of power.
Also you do realize that Shanks isn’t Luffys ceiling right?

There is nothing. We've seen him fight he's nothing but a swordsman as he always was.
Irrelevant mihawk isn't zoros either
If mihawk loses to zoro when luffy beats shanks with mihawk being > Shanks you'd be crying

You see the point “depending on his backstory” you’re a fan and don’t know if he’s your favorite because you don’t know much about him.

He’s one of my favs he’s in my top 3.

His aesthetics
The idea that he mastered both "gentle" and "brute" Swordmanship
His role in the "middle" era where dozens of Powerful Pirates entered the Grandline after what Roger said
His relationship with Perona, Shanks, Crocodile and possibly Roger

Zoro is a boring "Badass" Good Guy who refuses to slash women in the New World and is never allowed to look bad. I have no interest in such a boring ass character

Yes and the portrayal is to the point oda has never had issue with using shanks to hype mihawk as he did in the bounty chapter.
Even as a character he's amazing and we only have half the story

He became famous even before the Great Pirate Era. It was stated before we got the "Marine Hunter" reveal.
