I mean, Oda respected Base Kaidou to the point of giving Ryou something that not even YC1 have for all retainers, so they can only damage Kaidou superficially. LOL

Kaido might get damaged with Ryuo, but it's still superficial and quickly recovered. The hand that got stabbed. Recovered within 2 panels. 4 Scabbards combining their attacks couldn't reopen Kaido's scar. A CoC infused Thunder Bagua from Hybrid Yamato gives him a small head bleeding. Getting pummeled the whole day with internal destruction CoC Gear stacking can't put him down. Meanwhile crows created from soot puts Fujitora in bandages for days.

Oda gave advanced Ryou to all the retainers just to be able to fight Kaidou, even with advanced Ryou and combining their attacks, Ryou is only able to cause superficial damage to Kaidou, which makes Adcoc necessary, so even advanced Ryou is not able to do much against Kaidou.
