On the topic of Ifrit tho~legit question what does Ifrit Jambe give Sanji that Diable Jambe doesn't?
Coz as opposed to something like Sanji v Jyabura for instance, it doesn't seem like the heat from Ifrit was the main decider of the Queen fight. In the manga there is an explosion from Beouf Burst so it felt like a significant AP boost but Anime kinda muddies this a bit.

*Also tbf Queen was charred from the Beouf Burst in the manga, so the heat was somewhat emphasized but I think the power of the hit was what ultimately took him out. What do y'all think? Also will be interesting to hear an Anime-only watcher's perspective on this.
I guess simply stronger DJ, no need to overthink

It kinda reminds of when Shanks 0.5 shotting Kidd, people thoughts that the explosion was from Shanks's CoC attack.

As for comparison, Sanji using IJ is like Shanks using Divine Departure then the explosion afterwards is their attack aftereffects.

But I think it's just Kidd's Railgun exploding when Shanks struck him.

As for Sanji's IJ, the explosion happens after Sanji struck Queen with IJ so it's probably AP + explosive aftereffect.
Not really buying the "explosion was from Kid's rail gun" agenda. Kid is not Queen or Franky, his rail gun just shoots metal at high speeds, it's not like some complex contraption made of wires and electrical parts that can short circuit and lead to an explosion when damaged. Moreover we've seen Shanks replicate a similar type of explosion with in Red. In ONE PIECE some swords have abilities like Enma, so the explosion could be coz of Griffin but yh I think the main points of Ifrit are the heat and the explosion it induces. Hopefully Sanji v S-Shark will give will confirm this or at least give us a better idea of how it works ^^

Sanji's combo vs Queen had mini explosions in anime

Fair enough then. We'll see.

At least in the anime, once Sanji activated Ifrit Jambe, Queen simply got owned and couldn't compete

In the manga, it looked like Ifrit Jambe wasn't even needed

But at the same time, they hyped Diable Jambe quite well in this episode, especially through the Grill Shot scene. So i think it's all balanced

Making Queen bleed properly with the Ifrit Jambe combo would solve all this imo (i mean, thats how anime portrays damage for the most part)

Anyway, Sanji right now is looking insane even without Diable Jambe. Oda wont sleep on Ifrit Jambe
I'd say Sanji's Ifrit was much more dominant in the manga. Queen didn't even have time to process what hit him and was done by the time Sanji finished his combo whereas in the Anime, Queen was at best slightly annoyed at Ifrit and still put up a fight until the Beouf Burst attack which took him out but yh Queen taking more damage would've helped to make Ifrit look better.

Just re-watched it and I can't see any explosions, only the impact from Sanji's kicks :catcry:

People don't realize how nerfed sanji was against queen

- no star shaped DJ with grill shot ( didn't use DJ to its full potentiall)

- no anti manner kickcource (strongest kick)

- no memories to fuel hell memories ( even the anime does't credit it )

- psychological turmoil which is directly linked to his haki ,flames performance

- body's acting up during fight

- has the toll form body crushing and immediately healing

- got whooped by BLack maria before this

- then non stop whooping fodders and smile users and the dude still gets up after a short break

- fought King and queen for decent amount of time while Marco was out of commission
