Indeed, but their ideas are driven by crazy things. "immortality" "space colonialism" "computers taking over humans":seriously:

Indeed, but their philosophers are at least philosophers and not someone who got the richest in the world.

Obviously, everything in every philosophers isn't to be taken.

Indeed, it can hardly be argued that he was for equality. His aristocratic society is nothing but a dream though. He deemed that only a few could rise at the top. He also argues that those at the top of the top shouldn't live in society nor should they seek political power because there is no hope for them (and power-greedy people are dumb).

I like his views in general.

The idea that people can't govern themselves is still very much alive nowadays. Macron for instance says things like "the laws about immigration cannot be subject to a public debate because they can't understand its stakes". I'm not pro-Macron btw. But this isn't even pro-slavery or colonialism.
I'm not into any political views that preaches for a class of "especial" people to rule over me based on the assumption that i'm dumb.

It's their philosophy in general to do *impossible* things.

People say the novel *The Glass Bead Game* was probably is what his ideal society is. it's a story based in 25th Century at Europe.

Indeed. Honestly it's not even controversial imo when you look at it deeper. They just didn't use the exact word but the concept is there.

From individuals to families to state levels.

Individuals- people who can't practice good hygiene and manners and is a burden to society is deemed as someone who can't take care of themselves.

Families- Helicopter Parents who think their older kids doesn't have a mind of their own and have unreasonable control from deciding their clothes to getting them to arranged marriage of *THEIR* choice.

State level - probably the most controversial.

Some states don't allow separatism or even the regional autonomy because the certain group of demanding so is unable to govern themselves or * unable to make the right choice* .

Dictators who refuse to hold elections or refuse to give up power because they think other people can't govern the state.

and yeah elitists who think populism is dumb and only they know how to govern properly

In fact, this idea is reinforced among geo-politics experts considering how some countries are doing, if anything.

Next on my read list then.

But I don't think he seriously idealizes any society. As I said, all he really ideolizes is to live alone freed from the masses.

The idea that some men cannot share political power because they're so wise is really a widespread idea. I agree on that. But there is a difference between still thinking that today during democracy and being against equal vote during the 19th century which had very poor democracy. And even Plato who lived under one of the most radical forms of democracy was talking about a wise-ass Philosopher-King who should rule over the city. Never happened even once in history................

For families, dads and moms thinking they have the right to take away the life of their child just because they "should" have some authority are really mad-shit crazy

I didn't completely understand your example about individuals though.
