Of course we condemn that
The Turkish population are against the Syrian refugees
They don’t want them because of the economic crisis
Maybe @Sasparan can give you a better explanation because I don’t live there
The hate against Kilicdaroglu makes me sad because the reasoning behind it is retarded
"He’s a Alevi, he would destroy our country."
"I would never support a Alevi. I would rather die hungry."
We did nothing. We just tried to live our religion peacefully and got slaughtered multiple times. Even after that we’re for equality and don’t carry hatred in our hearts.
I will give up Turkey when Erdogan wins because I can’t endure this racism and injustice anymore
Intolerance is strong in Turkey. I have been trying to ignore that shithole radical islamist country for a while now and as a matter of fact I don't even care anymore about any national identity thing. Even the French are a bunch of twats sucking the cock of the regional far-right because it's a worldwide trend...
Funny thing about Turkish politics is when multiple former-mafia-boss who where once far-right activists became whistleblowers because Erdogan tried to jail them

I’m not a huge fan of politics and believe that it’s all a rotten game
but the current elections could turn into something really really bad
It’s dictatorship vs democracy
It’s oppression vs human rights
It’s a religious state vs laicism
I don’t care about nationalism, our flag etc.
I only care about the people who want to live peaceful live, regardless of their ethnicity or religious views
Most people are hypocrites and only worship themselves
I'm indian american, occasionally go watch indian films in the theatres to enjoy my culture. Because its america, the website I use to buy tickets(fandango) doesn't show movie descriptions or trailers for some of these indian films. I saw the poster, thought it was some sort of slice of life film. So I decide to go see this movie.
I shit you not, this film was like the indian version of birth of a nation(famous american movie glorifying the KKK).
Its about these hindu girls who befriend a muslim woman in college and subsequently get caught up in a "love jihad". Apparently the muslim girl is a secret agent for ISIS who brainwashes the hindu girls into accepting islam and coordinates with other jihadists to impregnate these women, have them marry jihadists, and move to Syria to engage in jihad.
Throughout the entire film, islam is portrayed as this sinister cult of evil, brainwashed people. Its basically portrayed as a poison that is infecting society. Every single muslim character is a shitty person, and when the hindu girls become muslim, they become shitty people. Because somehow, according to the creators of this film muslim = bad.
This movie is also so fucking sexist. It has multiple graphic rape scenes, of course including muslim men raping hindu women. That's a thing this movie keeps going on and on about. Muslim men abusing women in the worst ways possible. It was just so fucking disgusting. Because yeah, this type of violence does happen. In fact I do believe that this movie was "based off a true story" involving real survivors. But this isn't how you are supposed to show sexual violence in media. Its just needlessly shocking and serves no other purpose than to use the suffering of these women to direct hatred towards muslims. I cannot imagine what it would be like to be a sexual/domestic abuse survivor watching that film.
To add to the sexism right, this film treats the hindu women who basically joined ISIS as children. Helpless victims who were preyed upon by evil muslim villains. And yeah, these women were victimized, but they also fucking joined ISIS. That was their choice, they chose to adhere to a violent ideology(ISIS) and they got screwed by their own shitty decisions.
Also think its important to note how the jihadists were portrayed in this film, because I feel like it parallels how they are portrayed in western media. They aren't portrayed as real people with hopes and dreams fighting for a cause they believe is just(however untrue that may be). They are portrayed as mindless violent barbarians who seek nothing more than to inflict harm on others. And like while obviously islamic fundamentalist groups are brutal and oppressive, they are people too and they have real issues that cause them to act out in violent ways. And by reducing them to animalistic killers, you end up ignoring the issues that caused their violence in the first place.
Those issues mainly stemming from western imperialism.

In any case, it alarms me that this movie did as well as it did in india and that it was shown in theatres in the USA. It alarms me that india is this deeply islamophobic that people could walk into a theatre and watch hate propaganda like this and think it is somehow good art.
I'm genuinely concerned about the state of islamophobia in india, because this honestly reminds me of some nazi/KKK type propaganda.
They even had a scene where a woman talked about the hindu to muslim conversion rates and outright stated that kerala is going to be a muslim state(which is somehow a bad thing) in a few years unless someone did something about it.
The same goes for you.
In a way you are right and in a way you are wrong.
Humans are capable of bother good and evil.
Your comparison to current society is a bit problematic, nowadays selfishness is being promoted relentlessly by neoliberaliats and corporate culture is inherently sociopathic.
Many humans like to use our status as parts of the animal kingdom as an excuse for selfish actions.
Nobody can survive on their own, we need to support each other because only healthy communities have healthy individuals .
We have nukes and other mass destruction weapons. If we don't figure a solution to the water, food, resources and cultural/religious intolerance,a world will eventually break out. Also,i don't usually believe conspiracy stuff, but some dude said to me that economic crisis are safe way to do it because of this:
1-Our generation has seen 2008 and Corona.Lots of young people couldn't get education,jobs,etc... because of it.
2-Real state prices are on the rise and the younger generation will probably die out without owning property.
Financial instability=unstable families=divorce=low birth rates.
It seems to me that the resources issue is solving itself due to declining world population. The cultural/religious stuff might be fixed by social engineering.
