I also hope that we will find Luffy soon
If the story is as interesting, great etc...
It's because with these secondary characters we see directly their interesting and important moments because it's Luffy and his crew who have the long moments, boring etc. ... since they are the protagonists, his moments are necessary to make a story.
But if we followed the story of Garp or Shanks or Blackbeard, it would be the same thing we would have boring moments with them too, like :
Garp in his office eating cookies and dealing with administrative papers etc...
Blackbeard on his island eating pies and doing nothing, not talking about his plan, not acting like he has multiple personalities
Shanks in a bar drinking without saying anything interesting etc. ...
In short, all this to say that it takes boring moments to create a story.
