Oda hinting at the Gorosei dfs without actually revealing it is a way to keep it secret before their actual showings in the manga.

We know that the government was intending to go on Egghead even before knowing Luffy was there

With Saturn most likely only intending to come to take control over the Seraphims and potentially using the escort to hide his true power

I think he'd leave the escort do their thing, but after meeting Luffy(due to the escort not managing much against him), Saturn will be the first to flex his power, establishing him as a powerhouse by the end of Egghead :saturn:

And I don't think Oda is seriously going that way unless if it is to give Luffy and the SH's an L with two Top Tiers present.

I still think it's the Yellow Monkey vs the Monkey.

As a subordinate your role is to protect your superior. Example: Marco and Jozu with Whitebeard. Zoro and Sanji in Fishman Island.
