I honestly think that it was planned for her to die and Oda fucked it up to handle sanji.
She should've died in Cake Island and her going to wano was made to fix that (at least in theory).
Of course, this is assuming that she is truly dead.

kaido's dream wasn't to sit around in wano. he treated it like an obligation from the past. maybe rocks' plan the whole time?

now that he's been beaten its like a weight off his shoulders and he can feel free to leave and chase the one piece with everyone else. the world of violence.

Crocodile was imprisoned in Impel Down after Alabasta though. And his ambition Pluton wasn't reachable anymore and we also had the entire Impel down/Marineford arc where he gained huge respect for Luffy.

Kaido's entire crew is still in Wano, his first mate (if Aramaki didn't kill him) is still there and Pluton is there. It's quite a different situation from the one we had with Crocodile, Kaido has no reason to not attack Wano while Luffy is out.

Blackbeard will go for Pluton and recruit Kaido and Big Mom on the way.

Fight for One Piece is Luffy vs Blackbeard for obvious reasons, Zoro vs Kaido to finally fulfill ZKK, Sanji vs Big Mom to fully close that character arc, and Jinbei vs Kuzan because fuck it, why not
