Hunter x Hunter better.

- Characters actually go through development and progression that has a lasting impact. Not some one arc development....then regressing to the character you were in the next arc.

- Foreshadowing is done better. Sure OP also has good foreshadowing...but sometimes he doesnt through with it. Probably to subvert viewers....still doesnt make it better.

- The power system is a whole lot more complex and interesting. Consistent and can apply to everyone.

- The arc formula switches up each arc. Unlike OP that sticks to the: Go to the next island, connect with a civilian or princess, meet the big bad boss, have a sad backstory for an side character and finally defeat the villains and become heros.

- Interaction and relationships are better and more expanded. Pre timeskip OP would be able to rival in this regard. However Post timeskip, the interactions are getting worse and worse. To the point the orginals MCs Nami and Zoro have had like 1 conversation post timeskip.

- The world building may be on a smaller scale ( due to having less chapters), however the complex and intricate world they live in is far more detailed.

lol then the clean animation is the only good thing about it?
It's the best selling manga at the moment by an absolute shit ton so it's obvious that the only thing people find good about it isn't the animation. Anyone saying otherwise is objectively wrong and has literally no idea what they're talking about.

In my opinion, KnY is one of the best shonen overall. People mistake an (intentionally) simple narrative for the entire series being basic, when it actually has great character development, heart warming moments and very charismatic characters and dope fights. Whilst the animation is spectacular and A reason why it's so loved, if the original material wasn't any good then no one would give a fuck about it. Like Fire Force for instance, which has animation arguably on par with KnY.

The god tier artist for One Punch Man said it himself.

KnY isn't the best, but it's still like a solid 8/10 series. It would be pretty dumb for someone to think a series that has dominated the industry by such a gigantic margin is complete trash. Claim it's not the best? Of course. That's fair. But say it's garbage? Lmfao...

That's not how quality works. If it's top seller then that means it's good artwork.

Legend of Korra is same category as Demon Slayer, very popular, great animation, don't mean it's not pure shit.

So every other series is currently 10x less popular than "pure shit"?? :gokulaugh:

RIP the manga industry.

Obviously popularity doesn't equal quality. It's foolish to look at something that sells more than another and claim that automatically means it's better. But when one series is selling literally 10x more than any other series, it HAS to have something good about it that's appealing otherwise people wouldn't buy. It's simple common sense.

Be it interesting characters, fights, plot, etc. There has to be something that is good. And very good in that area for so many people to want it over everything else the manga industry has to offer. To simply regard it as "pure shit" when it is clobbering everything else is, not to be rude but nothing short of moronic.

It has to do with Netflix, common sense

Netflix >>> Toei Animation, u don't need to be genius to realize that

Many Netflix watchers buy it cause they think it's some great anime, they are unfamiliar with other mangas

Should I mention Game of Thrones, last seasons & immense number of idiots who praised it

Yikes... :whitepress:

You really think that millions and millions of people are going out and buying the demon slayer MANGA in bulk, with every new volume selling more than the last, because you believe they are under some spell that convinces them that the ANIME Is great, because it's on Netflix? Oh dear... And the fact that for some reason you're comparing Netflix, a streaming service to Toei, an animation studio :suresure:

Was it hugely popular though? I know everyone hates on it nowadays, but before last episodes of season 8 came out everyone was raving about it

Also, For example take Rurouni Kenshin & compare it to demon slayer, immediately Samurai X stands out as better, but nowhere near as popular as demon trash. Why? Cause Netflix, lol.

I compare them cause if they changed places & Shit Slayer had Toei backing it up instead of Netflix, u wouldn't be here praising it, that trash wouldn't sell & u would have no case, in fact u wouldn't even care about it.

Mate, at least do the absolute bare minimum of research before ranting lmao. You're here talking about "pure shit" making posts like this?? Bruh...

I said it before but it seems like you didn't clock... Netflix...is a STREAMING service. Toei is an animation STUDIO. Netflix did not make the demon slayer anime. Ufotable did. One Piece, a series produced by Toei has literally been on Netflix in Japan.

Since you're so absurdly obsessed with Netflix you should've checked what was actually on there before deciding that being available on Netflix automatically means a "pure shit" series would become a record breaking best seller. Countless anime are on there. Big names, and things you've probably never heard of. Your argument can't even be called such. It's essentially drivel. And I'm not saying that just to knock, but you seem very passionate about the subject but have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Not even in the slightest.

U should've shut your loud mouth when u had the chance.

"Regarding the series' sudden huge success, Weekly Shōnen Jump editor-in-chief Hiroyuki Nakano stated that the manga sales shot up straight after its anime adaptation finished, explaining that a large number of people watched the series through streaming services after it ended rather than watching it weekly. Nakano also stated that currently is harder for a manga series running in the magazine to become a hit, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba despite having started in February 2016, did not became a major hit until late 2019, adding that its "success hinged on word of mouth generated after the anime's run"."

... If you're not gonna read what I post, at least read what you post.

People were saying Demon Slayer is "pure shit", but since it was on Netflix, it became a record breaking best-seller.
:laughmoji:

It seems you really think Demon Slayer is the first anime to be available on Netflix?? At this point I'm not surprised. I think we're done here.

It's just OmegaPsyche, he is just desperate to find excuses to hate on Demon Slayer. It's fine to not like a series, but trying to find desperate excuses to hate on it just because it's popular is a bit sad.
I mean Demon Slayer is not like the best manga out there but it's very enjoyable when it comes to story and plot LOL.
