Because Zoro is a top tier ? In the same sense as Yonko or Admirals ?

You think Zoro wouldn’t have had the same fate as Sabo in the same position ?

And against Imu and Gorosei the highest power of the verse and the last enemies Sabo couldn’t have done much here. It was only plot driven for him to be hurt and run away.

Yeah that's why Sabo wasn't threatened by Gorosei and Imu presence
That's why it took a sneak attack to hurt him
He's given top tier portrayal when his rise was paired with Luffy emperor status

Oh yeah Karasu and Morley stalling 2 restricted Admirals, places Sabo as top tier
Since he's much above those 2
