Speculations Dragon didn’t know about Ancient Weapons, Imu or the Gorosei being fighters

You don’t need to know or care about the true history, will of D, Imu etc to want to overthrow the Celestial Dragons. All you need to know is what they have done and allowed to do in the present day.

Dragon will likely have a bit more knowledge than most- he knows about the Holy Knights, at least- but not as much as the Roger Pirates (obv). Him, Rocks Pirates, Shanks and Blackbeard are probably operating under a similar position, none of them have the full picture, but they all have parts.

To be honest it’s far more impressive if the World Gov are so terrified of Dragon, not because of what he knows, but what he has done.

Dragon probably doesn't know about the D either or at least he doesn't know the full story. Not knowing Imu was surprising as i was convinced Dragon decided to revolt when he found out that the entire empty throne thing is a charade.

Does this mean the Young master was always the only dude that knew about the secret ?

Dragon is really disappointing tbh, I don´t know how Oda will make him look impressive or give him redemption for not knowing much at all so far lol

Ivankov has more knowledge about the world and Sabo is getting involved into more action, compared to those two Dragon just looks bad. I mean, Sabo sneaked into the throne room and directly attacked the world government, shouldn´t this have been the job of Dragon?

When you think about it this makes Dragon a better character.
His intentions are raw, the man saw the corruption that ravages the world's prosperity and said fuck it, no more. He isn't trying to end the WG rule because of what they did to his D. clan and Ancient Kingdom, that would make him a selfish loser if anything.

I highly doubt the Government thinks the revs are like the most powerful army ever… Like I doubt they think the revs are stronger than a yonko crew
Yeah but in general it’s taboo to even defy a celestial dragon let alone build an army aimed to strike them down, that in itself is grounds for tremendous surges in bounty. Even the yonko themselves don’t go around trying to attack the world govt, BM and Kaido were talking about merging crews and getting ancient weapons before even attempting such a thing.

What I found suspicious is Dragon hearing about the Ancient Weapons from Robin but not Vegapunk
Meaning Crocodile knew about them before Dragon
:quest:
He knew about the Ancient Weapons before. But Robin gave him the confirmation that they 100% exist. Remember she read the poneglyph for the Ancient Weapon Poseidon, which gives her the 100% confirmation that they do exist.

The information on there being weapons of mass destruction like the Ancient Weapons isn't exactly a big secret, all the top entities know about em in general. Like Kaido & BM knew about them, but are they 100% certain on them? That's a different story. Even Crocodile got his 100% confirmation of just Pluton existing from how Cobra was behaving, after Robin lied to him.

I mean even fodders in CP9 know about the ancient weapons. What Dragon is saying is a reply to Ivankov saying Imu could've used an Ancient weapon. And Dragon says, well the Ancient Weapons definitely do exist, Robin told us. Robin gives him the 100% certainty of their existence, since she read the poneglyphs for 2 of them with Pluton in Alabasta & Poseidon in Skypea.

She's really the only person outside of the wano royal family + King Cobra + Gorosei & Imu to have 100% confirmation on their existence.

Similar to the One Piece, people went after it, but it was Whitebeard who gave it 100% confirmation that it exists.

Yeah that makes a lot more sense now lol

Sabo: Tells him about Gorosei & Imu being monsters
Dragon: ........ (not a single comment)

Sabo: Tells him about the weapon
Dragon: hmmm VP made it?? Hmm sum don't sound right

Idk where you even get the idea he doesn't know about the Gorosei or Imu. Literally the only thing he bothers commenting on with being surprised about is the weapon. The man had 0 reaction to the Gorosei and Imu stuff. Instead it was Ivankov.

It also helps the fact that even VAs like Doberman know how powerful the mf is. That they credit Luffy having CoC, directly to being his son.

Simply look at the reactions of Roger's apprentice, A warlord, and a powerful WB allied captain who went against the Roger pirates... reacting to Luffy being his son.

If it was as simple as just causing revolts and becoming the worst criminal... them reactions wouldn't be it. It's a combination of that insane ambition & him actually being powerful.
Nice write up. One thing that struck me during Dressrosa was how reluctant Doflamingo was to fight Luffy from the start.

He could of course have been wary of Luffys strength. Doffy did say something about not underestimating Luffy and said Luffy could potentially be stronger than Law but I always suspected there was more to it.

We have only ever seen Doflamingo be scared of Kaido, respect Mihawk and be wary of Aokiji and Fujitora. The way he treated Luffy looked to me like he was scared of provoking someone else. It could be Garp but I feel it's Dragon he really wanted no business with.

You think the fraud with his lack luster crew is any threat to WG? Sabo almost died from single attack for example and ivankov got negged by akainu.

That's certainly a high possibility. He comments on Iva working with Luffy at MF as well. And also is actually the one who gives the RA a huge hype. Stating they are STOCKED with fighters to be reckoned with. And this is Doflamingo who wasn't even taking somebody Law all that serious. So these are people who Doflamingo himself considers as people you shouldn't try messing with.

Not as they are no, I’m referring to how they would issue high bounties for directly threatening celestial dragons in general regardless of what their actual threat level is. Like ppl wouldn’t even look at a fodder celestial in their eyes without threat of execution imagine causing actual acts of terrorism towards them.
