Break Week Zoro loves Luffy so much and considers him his best friend but to Luffys eyes, he is not even on the top 5 friends list
I don't know why they want strawhats to be friends.
Zoro isn't luffy or any strawhats friends.
He is there cause all strawhats share a goal where they are working together so everyone can fulfill their dream

Kuina’s dead. Luffy is more important in Zoro’s life now. He literally threw away his swords when he was trying to sacrifice his life and ambition for Luffy in thriller bark. As time went on, His dream became more and more intertwined with Luffy’s dream. Even in Wano king of hell chapter, The main focus was on Luffy.
