Can the Roger pirate become the pirate king in this era(no straw hats) but there is bb, and other yonkos

He can be PK maybe, especially if he is at his best in the beginning of Luffy story

But he won’t be able to beat Imu/Gorosei and free the world

If he has Prime Ray, Prime Shanks and Prime Oden in his crew he could be King of the world.

If the crew is only with Prime Roger, Prime Ray without Oden, and Shanks as a kid it would be difficult.

Prime Ray alone would've been a contender for top 1 in this era.

Counting Oden, the Roger Pirates have 3 top tiers which pretty much blows every other pirate crew out of the water.

He still has Gaban who by portrayal shouldn't be that much weaker than Prime Rayleigh, by the Duo dynamics.

Oden was a late addition that don't follow the normal crew dynamic.

Yeah Oden was a late addition, what exactly is your point though? He is still one of the main powerhouses of the crew and a key figure which is what this topic is about and it fits perfectly with Yamato joining late aswell anyway.

But it's not like they need him, exclude Gaban for being featless and Roger crew still smokes Strawhat with Yamato anyway.

That's 4 top tiers in a crew.

Roger Pirates could become PK at this era, but as for like endgame stuff like Imu, Gorosei, Admirals, etc. don't think Roger will be the one to take them on.

Strawhats and Blackbeard Pirates will surpass Roger Pirates.

I mean, it was Whitebeard's era until recently, he ruled infront of the throne and was called King of the seas. Prime Roger with his crew would still have a good shot. Problem is, one Road Poneglyph is gone, another is deeply down in Wano, so he would have to go into all out war, which stands to question if he would.
