For what it´s worth, our role PM only states that there are "more than one" assassin in the game but that we "don´t know their numbers and their respective alignments". Leaving the option for being trolled hard an all assassins being indeed town.

Picking between 26 players trying to eliminate 4 scums (5 or 6 including hostile indies) which all may have strong fake claims too is a rather unthankful job, that much we can tell you. So even if all assassins were town it would not have made this that much easier.
