Mahito was always about soul >>> body, as long as the soul lives the body can live too. And while his body was sealed/absorbed question remains what of his soul?
Kenny is strong but not end game strong, Sukuna winning against Gojo makes no sense cause who the f then can stop sukuna and that it is believable?

Gojo reinforcing the outside of his barrier this time, Sukuna too strengthening the part of his domain outside the barrier & not inside it to break through. Both of them are really pushing the boundaries of how Domain Expansions work to outwit each other.
