That still depends on how the scriptures are cherry picked. Lets not pretend like extremist groups within islam dont find justifications for their behavior in islamic scriptures. And they would vehemently disagree that its not the islamic message. there is a reason different subgroups of islam have conflicts with each other, and its not just influence of the west
