That still depends on how the scriptures are cherry picked. Lets not pretend like extremist groups within islam dont find justifications for their behavior in islamic scriptures. And they would vehemently disagree that its not the islamic message. there is a reason different subgroups of islam have conflicts with each other, and its not just influence of the west

Germany raises the mininum wage on like a yearly basis.
I get your point
People cherry pick a lot
This is why criticism against religion (especially religious people with power) should be completely fine and is also needed

Burning and destroying stuff in protests will never make sense to me.

And this is not just about France.

Look at the George Floyd protests in the US. Looting, destroying, burning. Such violent protests (or riots would be the better word) attract only those that want to:
a) earn quick bucks by stealing
b) let out their rage in a group setting where arresting them will be difficult

Hell, a decade ago we had protests in my own city. A bunch of idiots came with the peaceful protesters, started rioting, and before you knew it administrative buildings were on fire and IT equipment was being carried away by Johns and Janes Doe.

And guess who had to pay to get all of that fixed afterwards? Yes, the same citizens that destroyed it in the first place.

But racism, bro. Fighting racism is clearly what's in all these people's minds. They couldn't possibly be looking for any form of excuse to act like savages. They're righteousness. They're justice. Don't be a bigot. :seriously:

Nothing change when you keep being silent, this is simply the result of decades of frustration :endthis:

Do you recognize that there is systemic racism and systemic police violence in the USA and France ?

Uncle Van

Bullets don't hurt. But Taxes do.
No it's not, you are missing the causes by just looking at the effect
Wrong. Everyone should be held accountable for their actions. Excusing people sending death threats to an innocent person over something so unimportant and petty like your favorite character not joining the main cast, because real sturggles happens elsewhere, is stupid. Everyone needs boundaries to keep them from going to far.

Was the french revolution illegitimate then ?
Depends which step :kayneshrug:

Gilet Jaune movement on the Champs-Élysées was useful though :kata:
