Definitely CoC worthy. I was saying this since day one: CoC is about ambition, not personal ideals or personal moral codes. You can be a "WG's lapdog", but it does not change the fact that you ended up at the top of one, if not the biggest, organisation in the verse. It's like saying US Marines cannot be "really" tough or have no heart. Does not really add up.
Those guys are insanely strong willed.

And I love that "showing their potential" backstory idea. Would love to see that

Aye definitely! They would have definitely have stood out amongst other cadets/recruits as CoC users stand out from anywhere and have that overwhelming impact and presence ofc. So it would make sense for how they got chosen to become Admirals and climb up too then. They would have undergone the most brutal, unforgiving training regimens too. "Only the strongest can survive it" even.

Kinda makes me think of how the X-Men trained against the Sentinels especially, some of their biggest counters and most dangerous enemies, aside from other mutants and such generally?

Can't forget that Sengoku has CoC according to Oda too! If Akainu for some INSANE, illogical reason does NOT have CoC either, Oda genuinely has gone completely insane/senile too lol. I actually believe all Admirals are contenders in their own way, Kizaru is yet to truly show why he should have CoC too imo but he hides his true agenda/ambitions/feelings/motives/whatever and is a real wildcard, he might pull a fucking Aizen of the blue imo. Hence showing why he deserves CoC especially too if he does.
