Oda didn't even allow katakuri to face a top tier 1v1 or 2v1 yet for a reason

- Sanji vs Croc -> Sanji vs Beckman - > Sanji vs Shiryu (gauntlet for Sanji)
- Strawhats vs Red Hair Pirates vs BB pirates vs Cross Guild, whoever against whoever
- Buggy finds One Piece during all the fights and becomes Pirate King for 1 minute until Luffy shows up and 1-shots him

Shiryu will prove to be stronger than 99% of Commanders, if he's equal to Magellan before the Fruit.
That said, i truly don't believe he'll be stronger than Zoro.

I'm reserving my judgement of Shiryu until we see exactly how badly he was injured. Kuzan himself was forcefully thrown into an abyss last time we saw him and he just came back and downed Garp with a punch.

Garp was always expected to get a nice treatment as the sendoff of a legend. Pretty much like Whitebeard.
