Do you think Garp is saying "justice will prevail" in a long-term sense (justice winning in the final battle) or in a short-term sense (winning this battle)? If the correct translation is "dont be afraid" it makes me think he is talking in a short-term sense, while if the correct translation is "dont lose your composure" it makes me think he is talking in a long-term sense.

lmao the pizarro comments mocking the narrator boxes on the last page are hilarious, oda self-aware af :milaugh:btw garp is 100% dead we got the flashback, his biggest failure is not succeeding at being a father figure for his students to emulate (dragon, kuzan, luffy), if anything they all end up going against his wishes and now it's his downfall :josad:
lmfao the fact that they are all free and follow their own paths is exactly the type of person Garp is, he folllows his own orders and follows his own justice within the marines its why he never became an admiral or wanted to progress in rank, Dragon took his own justice into his hands and is now leader of Revos, Luffy wanted to become PK to prove to Shanks (clearly states being PK is the one who is most free in the sea) now hes one of the srongest and most feared pirates, & Kuzan wanted to change the marines by becoming FA and found a new path in following Teach after their speech.

"going against his wishes" so hes not a father figure what do you do kiss your dads ass every night and blindly follow everything he says?

you can have your own dreams and look up to others
