You're missing the whole point.. The end goal was to not use Haki but it was inadvertently used to reach that state..

As a Haki user, you can't throw a serious punch with all your might without putting Haki in it, they go hand in hand.. It's not a Switch that can be flipped on and off easily.. That's the real objective of the training in my opinion..

They are training without using haki especially garp is strictly asserting not to use haki bro, the rule is No haki and No Devil fruit abilities even bogard confirmed it

No they aren't
  • Vegapunk did create the idea for seastone to be on the bottom of ships, making it impossible for this to be the case in Garp's flashback
  • We don't know if every battleship has seastone on the bottom
  • Garp wouldn't say "don't use devil fruits" if devil fruits wouldn't even work to begin with
  • Seastone is indestructible except if you're Law
  • It would've been clearly stated if it was the case, this isn't something that Oda would leave extremely vague, it would be used to hype Garp and Aokiji directly

Garp didn't say not to use df, he said not to use haki bro, also sea stone doesn't negate df attacks, we saw the encircling wall tank whitebeard's attack but couldn't negate it out

Why marines are wasting that much of sea stones to cover their ships instead of making weapons to fight DF users?

Also was sea stone ever mentioned to be more durable than any other material?
