Yeah I doubt she'll show up in main story so I really don't see point of oda making her Canon

It's a cheat pool Oda creates to draw upon if he needs to.
He can always pick stuff out of it and make it canon - once he's convinced people will like it.
But he can also directly contradict stuff, e.g. feats or charatcteristics that weren't loved that much, and claim that the movies aren't canon.

So no. Not until Oda decides otherwise.

Right now in the story we're still only at a point where Shanks appears every 100 chapters or so and does nothing. Once he gets his arc and and the main focus is on him, Uta could show up too. Don't expect her to play any major role though.

Yes it is.

Uta's sillhouette appeared on the final chapters of wano.

Shanks humiliated kizaru and fujitora.

Luffy used gear 5.
