This is actually a critic that I can accept. One Piece is not for everyone.. It has always been a little looney.

You are defending a cliche moment and covering up worst abuse of bait-and-switch as simple distraction.
Simply, say that you personally liked it.

You wanted a discussion about story telling. Now that I explained it in story telling terms, you are saying exactly the same things others were saying and you were calling them haters, cant deny facts, there are evidences, and more.
You failed to explain the actual technique used for the reveal.
But I did some research and found it is just the use of cliche writing and bait-and-switch method.

Bait and switch is when a writer encourages the reader to invest attention in a developing emotional or suspenseful situation ('bait'), only to substitute ('switch') a high-action payoff which has nothing to do with the previous development.
Copy pasting is not an issue if it serves the purpose.

Foreshadowings are meaningless in this case because if Oda was relying on foreshadowings he would not have given wrong name to his Devil Fruit.
He is continuing the bait by being vague about the DF's abilities. He simply said it is up to the user's imagination.
