While pirates aren't considered moral by conventional standards, almost every pirate we have seen has some sort of code.
We see this from the yonko. Shanks is loyal to his friends. BM is loyal to people who feed her and hates those who hurt children. Kaido idealizes strength rewards it by breaking the wills of strong pirates and bringing them over to his crew.
There is however, one pirate who has shown to have absolutely zero morality whatsoever. That pirate is Blackbeard.
From the Oden flashback, we learned that Teach was an orphan who joined the WBP 28 years ago, when he would have been just 12 years old. Whitebeard was literally Teach's father. He adopted Teach when he was a young boy and basically raised him as a son.
And how did Teach repay him?
He betrayed him in the worst possible way.
Throughout the series, Teach is the only pirate portrayed in such a way. While others, like Kid or Dolamingo, might kill civilians. They are at least loyal to their crew, unless said crew betrays them. Yet WB never betrayed Teach. He literally picked him up off the streets and gave him a better life, only for Teach to stab him in the back by killing Thatch, turning Ace over to the marines, and ultimately killing WB.
All of this shows that Teach cares about nobody but himself. He wants power and he will do anything to obtain it, even if it means sacrificing the people who love and care for him. This is why out of all of the pirates we have seen in One Piece, Teach is by far the worst.
