• Wci was a rescue mission for Sanji, but Luffy made it clear that after dealing with Kaido, he would return to defeat Big Mom. However, this plan fell through as he ended up obtaining a copy of Big Mom's Road Poneglyph. Luffy would have been risking his neck in WCI in the future if Brook not obtained a copy, all to become the Pirate King.

• In Wano, Luffy was putting his life on the line to take down Kaido and managed to get a copy of his Road Poneglyph, thus getting closer to becoming the Pirate King.

• In EGG, Luffy will randomly end up in conflicts with Kizaru not because he intends to obtain something that brings him closer to the Pirate King's throne, but due to a twist of fate he happened to arrive at EGG just when the government intended to kill Vegapunk. Lmao.
